I’ve seen it listed on the grid a few times before but never watched it.
That was my loss, because tonight I tuned in for some highly entertaining gaming.
I watched King of Kong: Fistful of Quarters tonight.
WOW. And I don’t mean WoW (World of Warcraft) as Ron so often raves about.
I’m typing about a pair of guys challenging each other for the title of World’s Best Donkey Kong player.
The documentary includes a nemesis, a conspiracy theory, lots of gamer wannabes, the underdog, the champion, an official judge, a little old lady from Florida, hot wing sauce, patriotic ties and the Guinness Book of World Records.
And lots of drama, emotion, human foibles and ego.
I highly recommend you check out this one the next time it shows up on G4 or Spike.

I have not gotten a chance to watch it yet, but I did watch “This Film Is Not Yet Rated,” the documentary on the secretive organization that is the MPAA. I’ll put it on the Netflix queue.

I just knew you had already seen this one or owned a copy of it. The “champion” was such a jerk and he had all these guys who worshipped him. It was really odd.
